How does poison counters work in Magic The Gathering?

A poison counter is a counter that, unlike most other counters, is placed on players rather than objects. When a player has ten or more poison counters, that player loses the game. A player with at least one poison counter is considered poisoned.
How do you deal with poison counters?
If you want to remove poison counters you will only have one way—Leeches. This answer is an attempt to create a canonical list: Leeches (Mark Rosewater intended this to be the only way to get rid of poison counters, but it no longer is) Karn Liberated (his -14 ability removes all poison counters, among other things)
Can you block for each other Two Headed Giant?
In the multiplayer variant two-headed giant, you and your teammate share a combat phase and choose attacking creatures at the same time. These attacking creatures do not attack individual players, but the opposing team. The defending team can then use their creatures to block these attacking creatures.
Do poison counters do damage?
Yes. The damage is still damage, and any triggered abilities based on damage will trigger. The only thing different is the effects of the damage, since you gain poison counters instead of losing life.
How many poison counters do you need to win commander?

It only takes ten poison counters to win a game, so infect creatures lean a little smaller than non-infect creatures. In play, we found that this could cause infect decks to stall out a little bit in the late game when larger creatures came out to play.
Are Poison counters combat damage?
Yes it is. The card states “This creature deals damage in the form of poison counters.” So it’s still dealing combat damage as far as the rules are concerned, it’s just in a different form. Just FYI it won’t get the counter until after it deals damage, so the first time it will only deal 1 poison, then 2, etc.
How do you counter infect?
Infect is good at playing around removal. It has cost-efficient spells that both defend against kill spells and tack on secondary effects (unblockability, pump, etc.). One way to beat that is to overwhelm an Infect opponent with removal spells, but this is often card-intensive and forces you to keep mana open.
How do extra turns work in Two-Headed Giant?
If you are playing a game with shared turns like Two headed giant the team always takes turns together. So if one of the team gains and extra turn the entire team will take an extra turn. Likewise if a one member of the team loses a turn both players will miss the turn.
When does a team lose a two headed giant game?
