Can Ashiok cast Adventure cards?

Ashiok allows you to cast the card. Normally, when you cast an Adventure card you choose whether to cast it as an Adventure or Creature. There is nothing in the wording of Ashiok’s ability that changes that. So if it is Ashiok that you are relying on to cast the card, you can cast it as an Adventure.
Can you cast an Adventure card as a creature first?
Normally, you’ll be able to cast it only during your main phase while the stack is empty. If an effect copies an Adventure spell, that copy is exiled as it resolves. It ceases to exist as a state-based action; it’s not possible to cast the copy as a creature.
Can you cast an Adventure card from the battlefield?
The Adventure spell of the storybook card can only be cast from a player’s hand, not while the creature is on the battlefield, in the graveyard, or exiled.
Is Ashiok nightmare muse good?
Their +1 makes a 2/3 Nightmare that threatens to shred libraries to pieces, and their -3 is good for getting rid of a threatening permanent (even if temporarily). If nothing else, Ashiok, Nightmare Muse meets the bar of being able to protect itself, and it can do so even with both of its default abilities!
Do adventure cards count as instants in graveyard?
No. While a card with an Adventure spell on it is in the graveyard, it’s not an instant or a sorcery. It maintains the characteristics of the main spell, which is a creature.
How many spells can you cast in Ashiok Nightmare Muse?
−3: Return target nonland permanent to its owner’s hand, then that player exiles a card from their hand. −7: You may cast up to three spells from among face-up cards your opponents own from exile without paying their mana costs. Any effect that exiles a card exiles it face up unless that effect specifies otherwise.
Can you cast face up cards in Ashiok?
You may cast any face-up cards your opponents own from exile while resolving Ashiok’s last ability, not just those exiled by Ashiok’s second ability or by Ashiok’s Nightmare tokens. If you wish to cast any exiled cards, you do so as part of the resolution of Ashiok’s last ability.
Can You exile a card with Ashiok’s second ability?
If Ashiok’s second ability returns a token to its owner’s hand, that player can’t exile that token from their hand. They must exile a card from their hand if possible. You may cast any face-up cards your opponents own from exile while resolving Ashiok’s last ability, not just those exiled by Ashiok’s second ability or by Ashiok’s Nightmare tokens.
What happens if you leave the game with Ashiok?
If a spell has in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost. In a multiplayer game, if a player leaves the game, all cards that player owns leave as well. If you leave the game, any spells and/or permanents you control from Ashiok’s last ability are exiled.
